Once I decided I wanted a CIS (continuous ink system), I had to decide which of the limited # of printers available for such a system would work for me. I like the all-in-ones because you don't have to give up so much of your desk space that multiple dedicated machines require. However, I wanted primarily to be able to print my own photos. Once I started researching I found the Epson 1400 consistantly received good reviews, plus it is a large-format printer that prints an impressive 13x19" photo. The software was easy to install and I couldn't wait to print a photo. I was very impressed with the quality of that first photo, an 8x10 that looked as good as one printed by Costco. I highly recommend this printer for photos.
