 Average Rating :
Rating : - Great printer - but Expensive cartridge replacements!! We love the printer, which is great for home printing. Nice size, quiet, does what a printer is supposed to do, and we love the duplex. However, we're now in search of cartridges as the Y,M,C all need to be replaced. Compatibles found online all seem to have bad reviews - printing few pages before failing again or smearing. The OEM "brother genuine" have great reviews - but each is ~$90. For all three to be low at the same time is now requiring a $270 investment! So while the printer may be a good value, Brother will make it up on the cartridges. Fortunately, the black is going strong - or buying another complete printer would make better sense. SO BEWARE! CHEAP NOW, MEANS EXPENSIVE LATER! Especially if the cartridges wear out at the same time. Luckily, I'm still employed.....
